Shel Israel at Social Media:The Marketing Summit
I'm really happy about this: Shel Israel, who writes the Global Neighbourhoods blog has agreed to present a session for us. Shel wrote the book, Naked Conversations with Robert Scoble, and is wonderfully insightful with regard to social media. He's just spent sixteen months interviewing over 100 people worldwide for his Social Media Global Report - his session is definitely going to be an interesting one.
Brian Solis at Social Media: The Marketing Summit
When we started building the speaker roster for Social Media: The Marketing Summit there were a few names that were on the top of everybody's list.
Brian Solis was one of those people, and I'm pleased to announce that he's on board and will be speaking at the conference on October 1-2.
Brian is perhaps best known for his blog PR 2.0, but that just one of the strings to his bow. He's the founder of FutureWorks, a leading-edge PR agency, the co-founder of Social Media Club (www.socialmediaclub.org), and an original member of the Media 2.0 Workgroup (media2.0workgroup.org). And there isn't even room for everything else he finds time for.
He's a big thinker - don't miss his session at Social Media: The Marketing Summit. It will be good stuff.
Tara Hunt at Social Media - The Marketing Summit
Launching a new business is always a challenge. Many of the issues one faces though, are intimately entwined with the concepts underlying social media. Reputation, trust and your personal social network or graph become keys to success or failure.
The old saying, “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” is really true. But it’s become more true, as we become more connected.
And as our connections grow and expand, as we become more visible online, so more and more of our offline lives becomes visible too.
One of our confirmed speakers at Social Media: The Marketing Summit, Tara Hunt, lives and breathes this to a greater extent than almost anyone I’ve heard of. Via her blog at www.horsepigcow.com and Tweets at http://twitter.com/missrogue she has explored new frontiers, sharing life-detail with any of us who wish to visit.
If you haven’t read Tara’s blog, it’s a terrific read.
She believes completely in the power of relationship-building, and brings that power to bear in her own life through the company she co-founded, Citizen Agency (http://citizenagency.com/), and through her work in the Open Source community, the EFF and other organisations as well.
She’s brave, smart, funny and I couldn’t be more excited that she’s going to be speaking at Social Media: The Marketing Summit.
